Physical fitness for the body makes it have a regulated state of general health and wellness. Physical fitness also makes the body enough power, strength to be able to endure strenuous circumstances.

It is the ability of the body organs to operate properly with all its organs like lungs, heart, liver, and kidneys, as well as the bones and muscles; all working perfectly well and in synch with all the body activities.

They are the best way to involve exercise into your daily schedule. Fitness programs, if followed properly and religiously are able to produce remarkable results to deal with diseases even at an advanced age. Fitness programs take a whole lot of hard work and commitment.

Although some people see golf as a less taxing game physically, the true golfers will tell you the opposite. They get to do the most physically demanding exercises to keep their muscles in tune and be able to swing the clubs and power the golf balls to the required distances. They must have agility and flexibility on the arms, shoulders and the back.

The correct physical fitness will enable them to power the ball with strength, be able to control the backswings especially, and sustain core strength. They have to enhance the movements like the spinal rotation, and avoid getting cramps and hamstring pulls. All these are only possible by doing a series of exercises which include stretching, holding, and relaxing.

They do constant workouts, stretches, proper die plans, and nutrition that build their muscles and tones it for perfect condition for golf.

A proper exercise routine aids the body to incorporate the kind of swings that have greater power and do the movements with less effort. They do exercises to shed extra fat and weight.

Many professional golf training schools have come up that have qualified trainers and who are best in golf fitness training. They prescribe the most useful and appropriate exercise routines, planned diet and give professional guidance for the best and permanent result.

There is a common belief that golf is the normal pastime-cum-sport of big shot entrepreneurs and businessmen. It is also perceived as being an elite sport and not accessible by regular blue collared employees. However, this is not the reality as modernization and commercialization have brought these so called elite sports into the reach of ordinary workers.

This is because there is no need to acquire sophisticated equipment to have a game. Unlike big game fishing and polo which need a lot of resources eg a boat or a horse respectively, golfers just need a set of golf clubs, which are reasonably affordable. With this in mind, retirement gifts for golfers and aspiring golfers are easily thought of.

Making personalized retirement gifts for golfers is quite an easy task as you could easily personalize golfing equipment with things such as home made golf club pouches, and caddy covers. These can be made by knitting (that is if you are into knitting) or any other handicraft requiring other materials.

You could think about golfing fashion by concentrating on the apparel worn by golfers. You could even end up starting a new trend in golfing clothing by the using your imagination regarding the design of the attire for your retiree.

The most easiest method of getting a retirement gift for golfers is to go to the nearest sports shop and get your retiree something they sell there. It may sound a bit impersonal, but then this may prove really useful, if the retiree is still a novice golfer. Maybe, you could get a golfing book, a subscription to a golfing magazine or a box of personalized golf balls.

However, you could try to find out what your retiree golfer still needs or perhaps even use your imagination to think about what methods you could employ to enhance the golfing equipment the retiree may already be using.

Commercially made golfing equipment is always a safe bet. If you want to make your retiree feel great, buy him or her a famous-name set of golf clubs, thereby making him feel like a professional.

You could even go to a joke shop and ask if they have any gags for the golfer there. They probably do, as golf is such a popular sport.

The gag gifts should be chosen very carefully as it could be a sensitive matter for the retiree, especially those who are still novice players. Gags as gifts in relation to golfing might be taken the wrong way and hinder their progress if they are upset by the idea emphasized by the gag or joke given to them.

As for veteran players who are already well adapted to the game and other golfers’ sense of humour, the gift of a good gag on their retirement day would be quite funny as they would already see golfing not only as a way to relieve stress, but also to actually have some fun in a competitive environment.

Retirement gifts for golfers are really just an easy method to make your golfer friend enjoy life after his career is over.

As a comprehensive coaching manual, this book by Jack Moorehouse, covers a whole range of golfers who need some help and direction in lowering their golf score and handicap.

As a comprehensive coaching manual, this book by Jack Moorehouse, covers a whole range of golfers who need some help and direction in lowering their golf score and handicap.

While some areas of one’s golf game remain a mystery, there is a way to attain a more structured approach in order to achieve the sort of improvement , to keep the reader interested in the game

With plenty of practical ideas and golf tips the reader can easily navigate the difficult waters that golf often throws at them by taking a measured and easy to read approach to the writing of this book.

If you are looking for a book that starts from the very beginning with what you can realistically expect to achieve by following the instructions contained within and then follows on with all the nitty gritty detail such as grip, stance, posture, set up and all the drills required to get you on the right track, then this will certainly cover off many things on your potential check list.

If you are looking for easy to understand and implement golf tips and golf instruction then “How to Break 80 and Shoot Like the Pro’s” could well be the answer to your golfing needs. The ideas and instructions are practical and thorough and allow you to improve your golf by focusing on the essential elements first.

It is sometimes easier to comprehend new concepts when you can see a picture of what is being described. With many photos of the instructions being described, this book has all the necessary ingredients tom make for speedy improvement.

I found the book was very thorough and it allowed me to take my time and work through all the areas I need to, in a very methodical way. It should also be pointed out that having the book in one’s possession means it is a great ongoing reference point as you develop your game.

Before you move on to the next section of the program, ensure that you are happy with the progress you have made to that point.

I was very impressed with the notion that is bought up in the book on page77 that one should not try to get ahead of oneself in golf. Just take the time to learn from the basics up, in your own time, and move ahead only as you gain confidence and ability rather than try and “push it” all too soon, as sometimes ” the faster you try and go the further you fall behind”

It is refreshing to find that this book covers all aspects of your golf game both technical and also mental and combines the two in a way that ensures all bases are covered.

Possibly a video would have been helpful with the online version, but I do note that videos are available as an addition if required.

If you are serious about your desire to improve your golf and are willing to put in the required effort to improve your handicap, I believe you will get good value from this book.

The value of any program is not the cost, it is how easy it is, how able or willing you are to put it into action. This book gives you all the elements you need to put it into action. Depending on how serious you are about improving will determine how much value you get.

Having the confidence in yourself and in your game is one of the most, if not the most important element in improving enough to regularly reduce your handicap. All the tips and tricks in the book, while plentiful, will be wasted without your ability to coach yourself and confidently approach your game. Confidence is built by building knowledge, putting it into practice and constructively working on your shortfalls.

Just as importantly it reminds you to enjoy “The Great Game” first and foremost.

The guys that invented the phrase drive for show and putt for dough had to go broke chipping out from the trees!

The golfer who coined the phrase drive for show and putt for dough must have could not have cleaned up hacking out sideways after his drive. If you don’t drive the ball effectively, this game is very difficult to enjoy or score. Golfers are always searching for golf distance tips from any who offer them. If you are out with the guys, you know that golf is bound to come up in the conversation. When you sit down and watch professional golfers and wonder how they bomb the ball 290 and appear to swing so easy.

At a minimum, all the golfers I play with can at least have a good time as long as they are getting off the tee in adequate shape even if they are not scoring worth a hoot. But, if you have no idea where your drive is going and you are hitting 3 off the tee after you hit your 3rd tee shot OB, you know the feeling of a ruined round caused by awful driving. Is there a secret formula you ask yourself. There must be a quick and easy solution that the pros and good golfers share but just won’t divulge. Well, take it from me, there is no magic pill. There is no magic trick. There is no club on the market that can cure the ills a bad golf swing produces. The answer to hitting more solid shots is balance and the ability to repeat the same good swing over and over again.

The key is to begin from scratch. You must not rush through it and take each aspect of the swing separately. The start is the proper grip, then the stance followed by the complete swing. I tested all the quick fixes and changing drivers and perusing golf digest for other golf distance tips and new putting secrets. I stumbled upon the one program that worked for me: Eric Jones’ 5 Keys to Golf Distance.

This system was the the one that made it ‘click’ for me because it enabled me to find balance in my swing. The key to the system is based on achieveing balance and utilizeing leverage to find untapped power. I felt part of a similar group of golfers who were looking to improve.

If you need a complete solution for you golf swing training, Eric’s product is a great choice.

Harry Hackinruff is a golfing nut who writes about his quest of adding golf distance to his game. His webpage is not only about his informative and funny stories about searching for golf distance, but he also has many articles about sports, fitness and health.

'Drive for show, but putt for dough' is the phrase we've all seen and learned from watching professional golfers in every tournament and championship either live or on TV.

‘Drive for show, but putt for dough’ is the phrase we’ve all seen and learned from watching professional golfers in every tournament and championship either live or on TV.

The masters of golf can drive a ball from here to eternity, but it all boils down to how many strikes of the ball it takes to put the ball in the hole. The long accurate drives don’t amount to anything if you’re unable to putt the ball accurately.

The choice of putter is very important, but knowing how to use that putter consistently, is even more important. For example, I’ve had the same putter for fifteen years, so I know what it feels like in my hand, I know it’s weight and I know how all that plays into my putts.

Putting takes a lot of practice. Typically, we drive the ball eighteen times in a game, but putt at least double that number. So doesn’t it stand that we should practice our putting at least twice as much as driving? If you can’t get to the practice green regularly, just practice on your carpet at home.

But bear in mind that the ball will never make it to the hole, if it doesn’t have enough wallup behind it to get it in there. So, why not take the time to get down on the ground to look at the path your ball must run to the hole. Does it slope one way or the other? Does the path run uphill or downhill?

So, stand with your feet spread apart for balance and line up the putt. Keep you hands, arms and shoulders completely still. Imagine that you are a “bobble head” but that you move from just below your chest. Keep your head directly over the ball. Pull your club back; keep your hands, wrists, arms and shoulders steady – the movement comes from your chest. Hit the ball, following the ball through with your club.

Learn from each putt and remember the lesson. Practice, practice, practice!

While you are participating in a round of golf, how frequently will you wish you could hit that golf ball that little bit further? Do you wish that you could execute the eighteenth just as energetically as you did the very first, plus repeat your very best form more often?

Think about applying all your bodily energy right into a game of golf but continue to have the strength to take the family out later on in the day. You can try all of this whilst dramatically lowering your risk of lower back pain or injury.

Do you want to leave behind your golfing let-downs, just like everybody else you might have stomped off the course in frustration, planning to toss your complete golfing bag in to the nearest watercourse?

Are you tired of spending money on training that the body does not permit you to fulfil, well greet a cutting edge program based on the very most recent exercise techniques particularly devised for golf players.

The whole of this golfing specific strength training course may be completed by incorporating dumbbells plus a pull up bar.

Your energy and physical fitness for golf program has been exclusively designed through a specialist in the field of Certified Strength and Conditioning: that among sportsmen is the most respected of the exercising genres. A serious comprehension of the science driving the principles of power and conditioning has enabled this particular expert to construct an exclusive first class training course, which may dramatically improve your game.

Just imagine, in a very short period of time, using exactly the same level of effort that you’re using now you can make a swing that may truly impress your golf buddies. After that totally WOW these folks out by duplicating exactly the same quality of golf shot again and again. You can then with certainty top off the entire impact through sauntering from green to green with a humble smile.

How to improve your golf as well as make an impression on ones golf companions with a brand new golf fitness training program.

The term 'the long game' is used to refer to the drives (shots off the tee) and fairway shots, which means every shot with the exception of the ones you make to actually get onto the green.

The term ‘the long game’ is used to refer to the drives (shots off the tee) and fairway shots, which means every shot with the exception of the ones you make to actually get onto the green.

Since each golf hole has a different difficulty level, different par and distinctive hazards, telling you to use your driver on every tee would blatantly be quite wrong.

But don’t worry about it. This is something that you will have to learn with experience as you learn the various types shot you need to make, which will vary according to the club, the placement of the ball and your own personal style of swing.

As a rule of thumb, the lower the number of the club, the longer and lower your ball will travel through the air. For example, a 4-iron will make the ball travel on a long and low trajectory and will most likely roll when it hits the ground, whereas a 9-iron will give the ball much more loft and it will go less distance both in the air and over the ground.

Don’t the professionals on the television make it look easy? They whack the ball long and straight time after time after time and never slice the ball sending it a sickly eight or nine feet or miss the ball altogether.

One of the most important parts of the game is the drive. If you spend a few hours at the driving range you will see quite a big improvement in your long-distance shots. Use the same club in this experiment to see what affect it has, if you move the ball backward or forward or in your stance. And, if you can, take a lesson or two from a pro, to learn the proper swing from the start.

You must master the long game as it will help you get to the green in much fewer strokes, which will keep your score and frustration levels down. Don’t forget that it takes a long time to be consistently consistent and always remember: you’re supposed to be enjoying yourself! So go and enjoy yourself.

Golf match play is one of the many different types of games that can be played on a golf course. Each hole is counted individually, so if you win a hole, it counts as a point for you. This type of golf match play can be played either one on one or in teams of two, depending on how many players are involved.

The points are calculated from one hole to the next so its a straight forward scoring process. If a tie is declared on one particular hole then no points are awarded and if the match is tied up, its known as all square.

You could well see a final score of 4 to 3 which would tell you that the game finished early because one player had a lead of four holes and there were only three holes left in the game. If this point is reached it is not possible for the other player to take over the lead and the game comes to an end.

When you partake in match play there are many things to be taken into account, most of which are part of golf basics. An example of this would be if you play your shot when its not your turn, your opponent can request that you take it again as a violation of the rules has taken place.

Also, if you happen to play a shot from outside of the tee box, the same thing can happen. In stroke play, this would be a 2 shot penalty, so playing match play does have its advantages when these issues arise. Breaching a rule is very detrimental and in stroke play, it usually calls for a 2 shot penalty.

In stroke play breaking the rules often results in a two point penalty being brought about. However, in match play the player would only lose that hole and he is given the chance to pick up the points again later in the game.

Match play also varies from stroke play as far as late comers are concerned. In stroke play if you are late for your tee-time you forfeit the tournament whereas in match play you are given until the second tee to start your game.

The strategy of match play golf is quite different to stroke play. For example, if the person you are playing against makes a bad tee-shot, you are afforded the luxury of playing a little more conservatively and taking advantage of the state of play.

Golf match play is exciting for those playing and learning as they go along. It is very competitive and reactions ranging from aggressiveness to passivity are regularly displayed, depending of course on the actions of your opponent.

Remember folks, don’t take your golf match play too seriously and enjoy a sunny day on the golf links!

The popularity of the game of golf has increased tremendously over the past forty-five years, giving us great champions like Arnold Palmer, Greg Norman, and Tiger Woods and world-renowned courses like Pinehurst, St. Andrews, Augusta National and the Blue Monster at Doral.

Why should playing golf have taken off like that? I think it has to be because by playing golf you are being active outdoors with friends or colleagues competing in a leisurely game that you can never perfect.

Your scorecard shows your progress, or lack of it, and this can spur you on to want to play again.

Here follows an elementary lesson for those who know nothing about golf.

A round of golf is usually played on an eighteen hole course. Each hole has its ‘par’, which is the total number of tee shots (drives), fairway shots, chips (short shots near the ‘green’) and putts on the green, it should take to sink the golfball in the hole.

The par number is based on the length and difficulty of the hole. Pars range from 3 to 6. If you get the ball in the hole in five shots on a par five hole, you “made par.” If it took you six shots, its called a bogie, if you made it in four, its a birdie.

‘Hazards’ or obstructions are usually placed before all the holes. Ponds, sand bunkers and trees are positioned in such a way as to make it more difficult to reach the green. Novice golfers should try to find a course with fewer hazards, which is therefore easier to play.

Players mark their own scorecard with the cumalative total of shots taken for each hole. After playing all the holes, the players add up their own scorecards and the one with the lowest score is the winner.

Please don’t take your score or your lack of skill to heart when you are a beginner golfer, because, although the professionals make it look simple, it takes many years to play the game well.

It makes very good sense to take a few lessons from the course pro, when you are just beginning to learn to play golf, because then you will learn how to stand and swing the golf club correctly.

It has never easy asking for help, but in golf, it is practically a necessity. Unfortunately, we often ask our buddies and partners, when in reality we should take a lesson or two with a professional, usually called the Club Pro.

We probably think that a Pro would criticize us too harshly, but in fact, they are honest, positive and usually very helpful.

Golf lessons at the local golf course aren’t as expensive as you probably think and they are worth it too, since your game will improve more rapidly and cause you less frustration, making the game much more fun for you.

It is of utmost importance to be absolutely honest about your game. The Pro will ask you what you think you need to start with: driving, chipping, putting or whatever you feel you need help with.

Listen carefully and follow the Pro’s instructions. You may have doubts if the Pro changes your stance, your grip or your swing, but really, the Pro does know best.

Please don’t hesitate to ask the Pro golfer any questions you may have and don’t worry about whether your question or concern may sound silly – they’ve been asked it all before and will not make you feel like a fool for inquiring. If you don’t understand, tell the Pro that you do not get it. You should never leave a lesson with unposed questions.

For instance, a strategy might be to start with one thing during a lesson, or on several things. You might begin with a lesson on driving; get the grip, the stance, the swing and the follow-through right in one lesson and then practice it ‘for real’ for a few weeks until you feel that you’ve got it more or less right. Next time, you might decide to work on your short game, or the putting.

You’ve bought the golfing equipment and it isn’t cheap, is it? So, it doesn’t make sense not to learn how to use it to it’s best advantage thereby improving your game and abilities, does it?
