Golf Rain Gear Everyone Should Have
If you have been playing golf for years, then you know how often you can suddenly need some rain gear. As much as every golfer hopes for a sunny day on the course, there are days when it rains anyway. An experienced golfer will always come prepared to play whether it’s raining or just plain cold. When those unexpected weather changes occur, it’s absolutely vital to have the rain gear you’ll need.
When the conversation turns to rain gear we’re talking about a more than a hat or poncho. In today’s golf world, there’s rain gear available to cover most everything we need to keep dry when we’re out on the course. Depending on where you are, or the severity of the storm, you may not have to use every piece, but there are some you always want on hand with your equipment.
1. Rain Suit – this usually describes a top piece of some sort and pants. These tops and bottoms come in a variety of designs, styles, and your choice of materials. Some of the more popular choices among golfers are the ones with cloth linings. These are a bit pricier to start with, but they end up being used as a rain suit or as a wind breaker if the temperatures start dropping when you are out on the course.
2. Rain Jacket-The most often used rain equipment is the rain jacket, and you have the option of purchasing this piece separately. The rain jacket is similar to the rain suit in it’s easy of use, and the fact that it can keep you dry in the rain, and protect you from the wind and the cold.
3. Rain gloves-Rain gloves are a popular item among golfers. Assuring an effective grip in the rain is easy to do with these gloves specifically created for this purpose.
4. Golf bag rain cover – If you choose not to use an umbrella to protect your clubs when it rains, a bag cover is basically inexpensive and will definitely keep any water off your clubs if it starts to rain.
There are are a lot more articles of rain gear clothing available, but the purpose of this article is to mention the four really important ones. If you haven’t stashed these pieces in your golf bag already, I’d suggest you begin looking for them today, or put them on the list to purchase as soon as possible.
